about.
Horror October is a CADC award winning collage project created for my design class that showcases my skills in halftone texturing, visual collage, and poster composition. The piece blends layered imagery and print-style aesthetics to create a striking, horror-inspired layout that highlights my ability to build mood, texture, and visual impact through traditional and digital techniques.
challenge.
The main challenge in this project was creating a cohesive composition from multiple contrasting visual elements. Balancing halftones, layered textures, and collage components required careful control of contrast and hierarchy. Maintaining a strong horror aesthetic while keeping the poster readable and visually organized demanded precise placement, tonal control, and attention to detail.
Horror October won the 2025 CADC Excellence Award in Student Print.
